Recently, Bachchan had complimented the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star with whom he shares screen space in 'TE3N'.
When asked about this, Nawazuddin told reporters here, "I felt good. I couldn't attend the the trailer launch (of 'TE3N') as I was shooting in Pune. Bachchan saab (Amitabh Bachchan) has complimented me, what can be bigger than this. I've learnt a lot from him, during shooting and even otherwise."
The 41-year-old actor was speaking at the trailer launch of 'Raman Raghav 2.0'.
The film, directed by Anurag Kashyap, stars Nawazuddin as a serial killer while Vicky Kaushal plays the role of a cop.
The film, slated to release on June 24, is inspired by Raman Raghav, also known as Psycho Raman, a psychopathic serial killer who terrorised the streets of Mumbai in the mid-1960s.
Nawazuddin says it was a challenge for him to play the role perfectly as it is a tricky character.
"The challenge was if I could do it perfectly. It is not a normal character. He has his own philosophies, thoughts. There are many things in our society which we think is wrong but for him it is right," he added. "To go inside such a brain is very difficult. You can do justice to such a character only if you believe in this theory," Nawazuddin added.
Would be great to play Abdul Kalam on screen
Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says he would love to star in a biopic on the former President late A P J Abdul Kalam.
There were reports that the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor was approached to play Kalam on screen.
Asked about the same, Nawazuddin told reporters here that "I have not been offered the role yet but if it comes to me then it would a great thing. He is a very great personality. I would be happy to play him on screen."
The actor was speaking at the trailer launch of his latest film, "Raman Raghav 2.0".
Nawazuddin last year starred in "Manjhi- The Mountain Man", a film based on the life of Dashrat Manjhi who dug through an entire mountain to build a road after his wife died unable to reach hospital on time. Recently, a man from a village in Maharashtra dug a 40-feet well for his wife who was reportedly denied access to water.
When asked if he would love to do a movie based on his life, Nawazuddin said "this is a very interesting idea. Something should be made on this as well. This is a very inspiring story, of course."
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, "Raman Raghav 2.0" will be showcased at Cannes' Directors Fortnight section. The festival will open on May 11.
The film is scheduled to release on June 24.
