Casanova Akshay Kumar and the starlet Twinkle Khanna`s wedding was expected to be a dud. But the couple proved to the world how much the sanctity of marriage meant to them. The loving couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary on January 17 with great aplomb.

Just last year when the speculations were ripe about when the couple would tie the knot after they had surprised everyone by getting engaged on Dec 12, 2000, Akshay and Twinkle had stunned even the closest friends and family members by getting married in a quiet ceremony. Akshay has now become a home bird and has cut down on his assignments while biwi Twinkle has not taken up any film after her last release Jodi No 1.

She is happily decorating her house and has become a full-fledged interior decorator.
