Sidharth Malhotra has confirmed that he is part of the 'Ittefaq' remake being made by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and BR Chopra's banner. The 1969 film starred Rajesh Khanna and Nanda in lead roles.

Talking about the film, he says, "It's a murder mystery and I am excited to be part of the project. The script is brilliant and it will be a new screen character for me."
