The Salman Khan 'rape comment' controversy peaked yesterday with everyone from the National Commission for Women (NCW), ex-Bigg Boss contestants, actors, filmmakers, politicians and layman, all jumping up and down onto the hype bandwagon.

"Its unorganized chaos, where everyone wants to say something, have a share in the mucky pie at the expense of Salman's image," remarks Bollywood's only PR guru Dale Bhagwagar, an expert with crowd psychology.

"Today they are raping Salman Khan's image, tomorrow they will get busy with other issues. Salman will not be affected in the long run, but the public ends up suffering an agitated mindset 24x7. The fabric of society is the real loser from all such issues, not the stars," Dale points out.

"Instead of concentrating on making India great again with our Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi's continuous efforts, day after day, trolls take to Twitter and Facebook to pull each other down with their opinions. They admire our proactive PM, praise his proactiveness, but learn nothing from it," analyses the public relations specialist.

"Every day the public is wasting its precious energy on new controversies fanned by social media and followed up by mainstream media. For Twitter trolls, it's a pastime. And for the media, it's good business. But for the general public on all of social media, such hoopla is nothing but a huge energy drain," remarks Dale.

True that! People on social media are more or less in a constant war mode. "Yes, war is the right word," smirks the Bollywood publicist. "In fact, I'd go to the extent of saying, we don't need World War 3. We have social media instead."
