The incident left Amy flustered as she had to continue travelling to honour other commitments. As soon as the shoot wrapped up, she made a dash for the Embassy of Spain. "The officials there allowed her to access her e-mail accounts, which luckily had the scanned copies of her passport. She then got in touch with the UK Embassy where she would have eventually had to start her passport retrieval process. They provided her with emergency travel documents to go to Barcelona and get in touch with the British Consulate," says a source.
When we contacted the actress, she told us it was a "rather harrowing experience". "Getting a passport made all over again is usually a long procedure, but I am thankful to the Embassy of Spain and the British Consulate for being co-operative and helpful. That said, I believe in new experiences and learning from them. I am sure I will laugh about this at some point," says Amy.
