Asked that since this film has been promoted as Harshvardhan's film from day one, does she feel sidelined. Saiyami told IANS: "He signed the film eight months before me. His journey has been completely different.
"And it is the launch of Anil Kapoor's son, so it's going to be the topic of discussion... It's a huge deal. When you talk about being sidelined, I don't think that's the case because if you are doing a love story, you can't sideline any of the lovers -- the girl or the boy."
Mehra's directorial is inspired by the tale of the legend of Mirza-Sahiban and is touted to be an epic action-romance set in contemporary times.
Saiyami said her family has supported her through her journey.
"My family is over the top. They are very filmy, so when I signed the film, they were crying and all that drama happened. They are extremely excited because I have worked with such a respected filmmaker."
