Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has an army of fans. The fans can be seen outside his Bandra residence and on social media platforms supporting 'Bhai'.
These fans are the ones who have supported Salman through the controversies and continue to do so now.
They are part of the reason 'Sultan', the superstar's latest offering, has broken all the records at the box office. The Eid release crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide in just five days since its release. The sports-drama film is being touted to be the highest grossing Bollywood film in terms of opening weekend collection worldwide.
Well, we have found another reason why the movie is a hit. A seven-year-old girl.
Ananya Mujumdar's letter explaining why she loved 'Sultan'
Seven-year-old Ananya Mujumdar went to watch the film very soon after the Yash Raj Films production released on July 7th.
The Mumbai kid enjoyed the movie so much that she wrote a letter on why she loved 'Sultan'. And her fan letter is one of the sweetest things you can read. It demonstrates how even at a young change people always root for simplicity and a confident underdog.
As Ananya's mother -- Deepti Mujumdar, a professor of English literature at Patkar College -- describes on her Facebook post, "We went to watch SULTAN for our 7.5 year old daughter who is a sport enthusiast. She thoroughly enjoyed the movie, cried when Sultan went down in the movie, cheered him when he won. This is what she had to say on #Sultan... P.S. She now loves #Salman Khan (sic)".
