Independence Day is just round the corner and to commemorate the occasion, Saumya Tandon fondly known as "Anita bhabi" from &TV's Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai decided to host a special screening of the critically acclaimed film "Gandhi" for the contestants of "The Voice India Kids" along with some underprivileged children.
As we all know, the kids of this generation will shape the future of our country and it is essential for them to understand the significance and the history of how our forefathers bravely fought for the freedom of the country.
Speaking about the occasion, Saumya shared, "This Independence Day my venture 1018mb screened the film 'Gandhi' in the cinema halls, partnering with Zee Classics. I invited underprivileged girls from orphanage and kids from The Voice India Kids to see the masterpiece. I did this in the memory of my father who was a Gandhian."
Indeed a great initiative Saumya! We hope the kids received some valuable lessons post watching the film.
