Swara Bhaskar to make a debut in an upcoming web series

Swara Bhaskar, who was last seen basking in the glory of her hit release 'Nil Battey Sannata', is all set to make her web debut with Voot. Swara will be seen with Television star Vivan Bhatane,Akshay Oberoi, and Karanveer Mehra in the new web series called It's Not That Simple.Directed by Danish Aslam, the director of hits like Break ke Baad,Salaam Namaste etc, this show revolves around the idea of marriage, relationships, a woman's stand in a marriage, love etc.

When asked about her debut and why she chose Its not that simple, She stated,"Media is changing rapidly as are viewer habits of content consumption. The digital space is really the new 'circus ring' so to speak where all the new and innovative action is taking place. I wanted to explore this medium as well.


It is a new platform for me to reach my audience. It's also where new and interesting content is being created. This is why I agreed to and was keen on doing a web series for a platform like Voot.

Talking about the show concept she said: 'It's not that simple' is a wonderful and fresh concept. It's daring and yet intimate, pushing the boundaries and yet relatable and real. I play a character that I've never played before. audiences will see me in a never-before sort of avatar. I'm really excited about this new show of mine"

This six episode show was shot completely in Mumbai before Swara set off to Delhi recently to begin shooting for Vera Di Shaadi with Sonam. The actress will join the rest of the team to launch the show which is in September in Mumbai soon.
