With conflicting reports in the media, Salman has again become the eye of a storm. A certain section of the press reported that Unit VII of the Crime Branch questioned actor Salman Khan yesterday afternoon for allegedly beating up actress Aishwarya Rai at Filmcity. Aishwarya Rai was shooting for Ramesh Sippy`s Kuch Na Kaho with Abhishek Bachchan when an intoxicated Salman Khan reportedly got into an argument with her and then pushed her. Abhishek Bachchan and other unit members intervened and prevented Salman from creating further ruckus on the sets. Sources claimed that the actress was bruised and rushed to the hospital and a senior unit member even made a police complaint.

However Aishwarya Rai appeared perfectly normal at an award function held the very next day. In fact at the award function, Salman Khan who was called on stage to give away the Lifetime Achievement Award to Shammi Kapoor even said in front of a live audience that he had done something that he regretted. Such fights have been normal scenario in the Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai relationship. When contacted Aishwarya Rai`s cell phone kept ringing. She was unavailable for comment.

However, Additional Commissioner of Police Pote clarified that Salman Khan was called for a chat and not questioned about anything in particular. He however admitted that Aishwarya Rai`a father Krishnaraj Rai had filed a complaint against Salman for property destruction when he had walked in her house at La Mer, Bandra Reclamation, in an intoxicated state and broken windowpanes and furniture. Aishwarya was not at home that time. The complaint also said that that Rai family had been threatened by Salman and that the Rais should not be held responsible for any untoward incident involving the actor.
