Actress Disha Patani, who will be seen in M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, says Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra is her inspiration. "I am a big fan of Priyanka ma'am. She is amazing and the best actress. Priyanka Chopra has made a huge impact on me," she said.
"Before joining this profession, I was never inclined towards acting. People assume that acting is an easy job. When you actually do it, you know how hard that is. But seeing Priyanka how efficiently she balances Bollywood and Hollywood... she became an inspiration for me," she added. Disha also shared that she was a "shy kind of a person".
"I never thought of becoming an actor or model. It is very difficult for me to accept the fact that I am acting in front of the camera." "It was an amazing experience for me to get out of the comfort zone and do something unusual," she said.
Talking about the forthcoming Neeraj Pandey directorial, Disha, said: "Doing 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story' wasn't tough for me as Neeraj sir was clear about the script. Because of him, my journey has become much easier. Neeraj Pandey is a very smart director."
"Priyanka (her character in the film) is a positive girl. She is a happy and a realistic girl. I feel I have similarities with the character," Disha expressed. She stated she doesn't fear criticism and she "wants to learn from the criticism" as "nobody is perfect".
The film is slated to release on September 30.
