Vidya Balan has a karmic connection with West Bengal and its capital city, Kolkata. She even goes on to the extent of saying that she is a Bengali, reincarnated. While that is topic for another discussion, we can tell you that the actress, who has just recovered from dengue, is headed back to Kolkata.

She will shoot for controversial writer Kamala Das' biopic Aami in the City of Joy, where the authoress has spent many years of her life. Aami translates to 'Me' in Bengali and is the writer's pet name, too. Kamala Das, better known as Kamala Surayya, was equally loved and hated for her open and honest treatment of female sexuality.

As for Vidya's Bengal connection, she made her acting debut with the Bengali film, Bhalo Theko and her Bollywood debut Parineeta was also shot in the state. Ditto for Kahaani, TE3N, Kahaani 2, and the Rajkahini remake. The actress says, "I think I was a Bengali in my last birth. When I visit these places, I feel strange that I know them so well, despite not being born there."
