It started with the premiere of his film 'Aligarh' at the Busan Film Festival to being invited as the chief guest to inaugurate the South Asian Film Festival of Paris where his film Aligarh was a topic of discussion amongst a panel consisting of well acclaimed personalities from the Film Fraternity from across the globe and also his cult classic film series 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and his short film 'Taandav' was screened for the cinema lovers there.
The talented actor now goes on to be nominated by the 10th Annual Asia Pacific Screen Awards, Brisbane, Australia; for the Best Actor category for his performance in 'Aligarh'. Nominated for such a prestigious award, Manoj has been pitted against well renowned actors from Asia.
