Popular screenwriter Salim Khan says today's film celebrities try to portray love among themselves, but he feels it's "not possible".

The 80-year-old veteran tweeted: "There cannot be love between rivals, only courtesy. The stars of yester years like Dilip sahab (Dilip Kumar), Raj sahab (Raj Kapoor) and Dev sahab (Dev Anand) had realised this and lived together for 30-40 years with respect and courtesy.

"The stars of today are trying to portray love amongst themselves which is not possible. It is like trying to find a black cat in a pitch dark black room which is not there."

His son Salman Khan has had a bittersweet relationship with Shah Rukh Khan, but of late, they have maintained a cordial bond.
