A war of words has been ensuing on the social media platform after Harshvardhan felt he deserved the Filmfare Best Male Debut award for Mirzya, which went to Diljit Dosanjh for Udta Punjab.
Harshvardhan's argument is that Diljit has worked in many Punjabi films earlier, so he can't be compared with other debutants just because he has now made a foray in Bollywood. "For instance, if Leonardo DiCaprio works in a Hindi film, is he making an acting debut? He has already worked in so many Hollywood films," the actor argued in an interview.
"You know what's ridiculous? #HarshvardhanKapoor thinking that he deserved Filmfare more than #DiljitDosanjh. Better your acting buddy!" tweeted YouTuber and blogger Monica Yadav.
"The boy has guts, just like his father and family. Seems to be the kind who will run his own race. With the right moves, in time he'll get the groove too," replied Bollywood's only PR guru Dale Bhagwagar about the Kapoor cub.
And as the war of words continues, the rest of the media is reveling in the fact that Twitter never fails to provide new celeb fodder almost all the time.
