It can be noted here that chess master Dhyani Dave who is known to analyze Bigg Boss like a game of chess, was one of the first to raise a concern in the media, saying Bani J was being projected as a winner of Bigg Boss 10.
Pointing out that Salman Khan and Bigg Boss may send out a wrong message if Bani J was made the winner, Dhyani had said, "Through her beeped lip-movements, bachcha-bachcha understands that Bani has been giving the choicest of gaalis to those who she hasn't vibed with."
"Over the years, both Salman Khan and Bigg Boss have been seen as righteous. Salman always encourages good behaviour on the show and supports the morally correct. And Bigg Boss, through his commanding yet affectionate voice, has also always stood for good. If Bani is made the winner, then the show may send out a wrong message that swear words are cool," Dhyani had said.
Her words may have echoed across Twitter, because soon after, there was an avalanche of sorts with many fans of contestants like Lopamudra Raut, Rohan Mehra, Manveer Gurjar and Manu Punjabi began speaking up. They were joined by ex-Bigg Boss contestants such as Kamaal R Khan and Diandra Soares who openly started speaking about partiality for Bani J.
Meanwhile, other celebs such as Karan Johar, Dolly Bindra, VJ Andy, Karan Kundrra, Karishma Tanna, Rannvijay Singha, Ajaz Khan and Bani's close friend Gauhar Khan stood in Bani's support. But the Boss and voters seemed to have heard Dhyani, KRK and Diandra's voices louder and clearer... and the humble Manveer Gurjar was announced the winner.
Dhyani Dave's publicist Dale Bhagwagar feels that "BB10 has been in quite a precarious situation. It lost a lot of ground with TRP ratings this year. At such a delicate juncture, it may have been a wise move not to lose credibility."
