Actor Varun Dhawan, who grooves to a revised version of the song "Tamma tamma" in "Badrinath Ki Dulhania", says the track had to be passed to the next generation.

Varun and his co-actor Alia Bhatt are seen in the re-created version of the original song "Tamma tamma" from the 1989 "Thanedaar", which was picturised on actors Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt.

"Power of 'Tamma tamma' again. This song had to be passed on to the next generation. Good morning," Varun tweeted on Sunday.

"Badrinath Ki Dulhania" is the third time Varun and Alia will be seen together. The two made their debut with filmmaker Karan Johar's 2012 film "Student Of The Year" and were also seen in Shashank Khaitan directed "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" in 2014.

Produced by Hiroo Yash Johar and Karan Johar under Dharma Productions and presented by Fox Star Studios, "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" is set to hit the screens on March 10.
