With Rs 13 crore on day one, followed by 17 cr on day two and around 19 cr on day three, Jolly LLB 2 is picking up pace due to word of mouth publicity.
"The film is doing well in metro cities in multiplexes. The word of mouth is good. It has opened a bit above Rs 13 crore on day one. Over the weekend it will touch Rs 45-50 crore," Akshay Rathi, exhibitor, told PTI.
According to the producers Fox Star Studios, the sequel has delivered at the box office. "Akshay Kumar's dream run with content cinema continues with Jolly LLB 2. The film is riding on tremendously positive reviews and word of mouth and has taken a superb opening even on a non holiday," said Vijay Singh, CEO Fox Star Studios.
"We are extremely delighted that Jolly LLB2 has lived up to the expectations. We are hopeful for a big weekend number given the start that this film has got on Friday," he added.
If it crosses the 100 crore mark, Jolly LLB 2 will become Akshay Kumar's fourth film in a row to do so, after Airlift, Housefull 3 and Rustom.
