Residents of a south Delhi colony have lodged a complaint against Bollywood singer Udit Narayan for not honouring his singing contract.

A brawl broke out between Narayan and the residents of Kalkaji when the singer refused to sing for two hours, as promised in his contract.

According to the police, residents were angry when Narayan sang for only 40 minutes and not two hours as per the contract.

Narayan, who arrived an hour late, sang till 11.20 p.m. and then wanted to leave. That's when the residents called the police.

Police said Narayan was paid Rs.1.2 million to sing for two hours.

A senior official told: "We have received a complaint, but no first information report was filed. We are working on the complaint."
