Director Shankar took to Twitter where he shared that the crew recently wrapped up an important portion of the film and are now left with a song and a few connecting sequences.
"With my team after finishing a major scene of #2.0 . One song and some patch works are only the balance," tweeted Shankar, alongside his picture with the crew.
The film is the sequel to 2010's 'Enthiran', in which Rajinikanth will reprise his role as a scientist and a robot.
'2.0' also stars Akshay Kumar as the antagonist, apart from Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.
The movie is slated for release on Diwali this year in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
