It won't be completely wrong if we say Anurag Basu's upcoming comedy action adventure Jagga Jasoos is jinxed.

Firstly, the film faced months of delay in its release because of one reason or the another. Secondly, the lead pair, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, separated their ways from a real-life romance probably causing further delay. Now, Kaif has injured herself on the sets of the film.

The Indian Expressreports that while Kaif was shooting for the film, a heavy object crashed on her neck and injured her. After medical examination, the doctors have advised her complete bed rest to avoid any strenuous physical activity. Since she is confined to bed now, she will not be able to fulfill her commitment of a stage dance performance at the upcoming Zee Cine Awards 2017 that is scheduled to take place on 11 March.

It was earlier reported that Kaif and Kapoor are hesitant to promote Jagga Jasoos together. With the unfortunate injury, Kaif has little choice but to not promote the film at all. That is, in case the release date gets pushed from 7 April.

Basu had tweeted that they were looking for a suitable later date in order to avoid the exam season since the film is a wholesome family entertainer.

Also, Kaif will soon start shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's Tiger Zinda Hai. So it is a wise move on her part to avoid the performance at Zee Cine Awards 2017. However, Bollywood Life reports that other stars like Govinda, Raveena Tondon, Alia Bhatt, Sunny Leone and Salman Khan are all set to set the stage on fire with their dance performances at the award function.

Jagga Jasoos is co-produced by Kapoor, Basu and Siddharth Roy Kapur. It also stars Adah Sharma, Sayani Gupta, Karan Wahi, Saurabh Shukla and Saswata Chatterjee.
