This time round in Singapore he was caught talking about his new film Don and how the original Don got him hooked to acting.
"Very few people get to live their dreams and Don must have been one of films that made me want to become not a movie star but just a hero. I wanted to be Don, be cool and sing Khaike paan Baneras waala," said Shah Rukh.
But even as Shah Rrukh slips into Bollywood's shehenshah's shoes in Don, he plays it safe and insists that the new film will never be as big as the original.
"It's a tribute to the artists in the new Don, the director but it'll never be bigger than the original Don in my mind," said Shah Rukh.
The much-awaited Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don was shot in Malaysia and is due to release across India on October 20.
