The much-hyped Rakhi Sawant show to be held in Madhya Pradesh's commercial capital Indore Sunday may be a no-show.

With Bajrang Dal activists threatening to disrupt the event and police expressing helplessness at conducting the show peacefully, Rakhi Sawant may not be able to perform at Indore.

This is not the first instance when activists belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bajrang Dal or Vishwa Hindu Parishad have opposed a show.

Earlier this year, Bollywood actresses Mallika Sherawat and Priyanka Chopra and superstar Shah Rukh Khan were not allowed to stage shows on some pretext or the other.

Bajrang Dal workers allegedly tore posters of the show across the city. "This has caused us a great loss," Manoj Verma of Malwa Utsav Mandal, the organiser of the show told.

"The administration has refused us permission to conduct the show," he said.

"We have requested Rakhi not to come to Indore because her performances are provocative and can spoil youngsters," said Kailash Bagora, Indore convener of Bajrang Dal.

However, if she doesn't listen, we will welcome her in "our style", he warned.
