After helming the blockbuster hit MS Dhoni biopic, National award winning director Neeraj Pandey is back in action with Aiyaary which will release in 2018.
The ace director has finished shooting the first schedule of the film in Kashmir which was a week long schedule.
Neeraj Pandey is currently shooting on the outskirts of Delhi and will shoot there for next three weeks after which parts of the film would also be canned in Mumbai, London, and Oman.
The film is based on a real incident involving two army officers, Aiyaary revolves around two strong minded individuals who have completely different views, but both are right in their own way.
Manoj Bajpayee is the mentor in the film while Sidharth Malhotra is his protege.
During the shooting of the first schedule in the valley, the team of Aiyaary had interacted closely with the local people and the jawans living in the camp near them. Both, the team of Aiyaary and the Jawans enjoyed interacting with each other.
Kashmir has been a perfect location for the shoot of Bollywood movies for many years. Many films have been shot there ranging from Kashmir Ki Kali to Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
However from the recent terror attacks on an army camp in Uri, filmmakers had halted the shoot of films in Kashmir.
But Neeraj Pandey who is known for his acclaimed movies like A Wednesday, Special Chabbis, and Baby, had a very smooth shoot schedule and safe experience shooting in the Valley.
The kind of cinema Neeraj and Friday Filmworks always make have been always loved by the audiences and people have faith in them. The people of Kashmir have faith in the ace director that he will not misrepresent the people and the state in any manner.
Neeraj had full support from the authorities while shooting the film, given the sensitivity of the story and the shooting locations, it was a very good experience for everybody.
Presented by Reliance Entertainment and Plan C Studios, Aiyaary is a Friday Filmworks Productions and is produced by Shital Bhatia, The film is directed by Neeraj Pandey and is scheduled to release on 26th January 2018.
