Shraddha Kapoor, who has mostly played the girl next door, will be seen essaying a dark role for the very first time in Apoorva Lakhia`s upcoming film `Haseena Parkar`, which is based on the life of dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim`s sister Haseena Parkar and the teaser of the film was revealed today.
The teaser, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddhanth Kapoor, who plays Dawood Ibrahim, offers a glimpse into the life of Haseena Parkar, who had lived a normal family life before her husband was gunned down by men from Arun Gawli`s gang, which prompted her to step up and be a part of the notorious `D-Company` and eventually become the `Godmother` of Nagpada. The teaser makes it evident that the film has been shot well and the background score is quite chilling, reminding us of Ram Gopal Varma`s cult gangland flicks like `Satya`, `Company` and `Sarkar`. Also, Shraddha is impressively sinister as Haseena and the fact that she has got some badass dialogues like, `Aapa yaad reh gaya na... naam yaad rakhne ki zaroorat nahi`, has made us all the more eager to watch this movie.
