The film revolves around a dysfunctional family consisting of Anil Kapoor who plays uncle to twin nephews Karan and Charan played by Arjun Kapoor.

Mubarakan brings to celluloid for the first time Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor amidst a reel life family setting.
