Having done a phenomenal job on the screenplay of Delhi Belly, Akshat Verma is gearing up for the release of his upcoming directorial venture Kaalakaandi.

The film comprises of an extremely talented bunch of actors including Saif Ali Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Vijay Raaz, Deepak Dobriyal, Akshay Oberoi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in a special appearance.

Working with an ensemble cast could be challenging, but Akshat did it with ease. In fact he had a great time bonding with all of them.

To this Akshat said, `The most interesting thing about working with an ensemble cast is that every day is unpredictable because all these actors have a different way of working, a different way of approaching their scenes and also a different pace to how they come at it.`

`It serves to keep me on my toes in terms of how to configure my direction style to what they would bring. Some actors get their takes early, in the first two-three takes they are done and once they are done they are burnt out. Some actors warm up so I have to calibrate myself to working with whatever works best for me. It's always fun,` the director added.

We can't wait to see what Akshat Verma has created with such a diverse combination of actors.

Produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Ashi Dua Sara of Flying Unicorn, Kaalakaandi is written and directed by Akshat Verma and stars Saif Ali Khan along with the eclectic ensemble of Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam in a special appearance. The film is slated to release on September 8th, 2017.
