Farhan Akhtar and Gippy Grewal who will be seen together in 'Lucknow Central' hosted a special screening of their film in Chandigarh for Milkha Singh and his family along with Gippy Grewal's family.

Farhan Akhtar who essayed the role of the sports legend Milkha Singh in his biopic 'Bhag Milkha Bhag' has developed a very deep bond with the Indian sprinter.The multi talented star is very fond of the sports personality and makes it a point to meet him whenever he visits Chandigarh.

The actor shares a very friendly and warm bond with Milkha Singh which is evident as Farhan Akhtar invited the sprinter and his family for the special screening of his film 'Lucknow Central' in Chandigarh.

Farhan Akhtar shares a cordial relationship with not just the sports personality but also his family. The actor met Japtej Singh, Milkha Singh's son at breakfast.

Gippy Grewal is a renowned Punjabi star known for his acting and singing. The special screening of Lucknow Central also witnessed Gippy Grewal's family in attendance. Gippy Grewal's family is the first amongst the cast's families to have witnessed the film's screening. The actor cum singer took to social media to share insights from the screening. Gippy Grewal said, "@lucknowcentral screening With Milkha Singh ji..."


'Lucknow Central' exhibits the tale of a group of inmates that form a music band in order to escape the jail. The film thrives on ambition, passion, friendship, and determination.

The ensemble cast of Farhan Akhtar, Gippy Grewal, Ronit Roy, Deepak Dobriyal, Diana Penty, Rajesh Sharma and Inaam-ul-Haq has piqued the interest of the audience. 'Lucknow Central' also has Ravi Kishan and Manoj Tiwari making special appearances in the film.

The trailer of the film has intrigued the audience to witness the intense drama that the film would divulge. The songs 'Kaavaan Kaavan', 'Meer-e-Kaarwaan', 'Teen Kabootar' and 'Rangdaari' provide further insights into the lives of the characters of 'Lucknow Central'.

Produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment and Motion Pictures, the film is directed by Ranjit Tiwari and is slated to release on 15th September 2017.
