Every star in the movie industry carries a certain perception and this perception at certain times typecasts them. So much so, some actors are unable to get dissociated from it even after making extreme efforts.

And obviously, she wore a Satya Paul saree for this event; and she seldom wears sarees. She's more known for her skimpy dresses. Even in her appearance as an item girl in so many movies, she is known for her jaw-dropping clothes.
