Sui Dhaaga - Made in India features Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles, the film is scheduled to release in 2018. It will be produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Sharat Kataria, who has directed Dum Laga Ke Haisha. He is known for telling stories that connect with the simple, middle-class families and Sui Dhaaga seems to fall into the same categories.

The shooting of the film will start in January 2018 and will release on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
