Bollywood has time and again witnessed clashes at the box office.This Diwali, audience will witness yet another clash, with two big films marking their release. First being Aamir Khan Productions' 'Secret Superstar' starring the Dangal duo Zaira Wasim and Aamir Khan and second Rohit Shetty's Golmaal Again.

It is not for the first time that Aamir Khan Productions' film is facing a clash with a comic entertainer. The 2007 'Taare Zameen Par' clashed with the mass entertainer that released that year 'Welcome' starring an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor.

While both the films scored high at the box office as well as stand to be some of the most memorable films, 'Taare Zameen Par' won an upper hand with its stronger content.

The mind bending story of an dyslexic kid struck a chord with the audience and the strong script with power packed performances by both Darsheel Safary and Aamir Khan are etched into the hearts of the audience till date.

This Diwali, Aamir Khan Productions' is all set to treat the audience with yet another content driven film with 'Secret Superstar' which will clash with another entertainer 'Golmaal Again'.

While 'Taare Zameen Par' won against 'Welcome' owing to its stronger content, will the fate be repeated with 'Secret Superstar'?


'Secret Superstar' is a film essentially based on music with the lead protagonist Insia played by Zaira Wasim being an aspiring singer. The young girl faces resistance from her father after which she opts to follow her dreams by posting videos on social media anonymously.

The trailer of the film has received a great response raising the anticipation for the film. The songs 'Main Kaun Hoon', 'Meri Pyaari Ammi', 'Sapne Re' and 'I Miss You' provide further insights into the film.

The film has has generating huge buzz owing to Aamir Khan- Zaira Wasim returning to celluloid after 'Dangal' as well as the content of the film. Audience is highly excited to witness Aamir Khan getting into the skin of the quirky and colouful character of the music composer Shakti Kumaarr.

'Secret Superstar' is Aamir Khan Productions' upcoming film after delivering blockbuster films like Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Dangal among others.

Produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao under the banner name of Aamir Khan Productions, Zee Studios, and Akash Chawla, Secret Superstar is written and directed by Advait Chandan. The film is slated to release on 19th October 2017.
