Will & Grace
A popular sitcom based on a relationship between a gay lawyer (Will) and his straight best friend (Grace), ruled the television for eight long years (1998-2006). Throughout its eight-year run, Will & Grace earned 16 Emmy Awards and 83 nominations. After the cast of this popular 1990s sitcom reunited for a 10-minute online special ahead of the 2016 Presidential election, the show makers announced plans to bring it back properly. Not only are all the cast back, but series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, as well as original-run director James Burrows, are all involved in this new batch of episodes. Family Guy
In one of TV's biggest comeback stories, Fox cancelled the 'toon in 2002 after its third season brought it back years later. Season 14 is currently airing.
The Mindy Project
An American romantic comedy television series that premiered in 2012, and aired on Tuesday nights until March, 2015. The show revolved around Mindy, an obstetrician/gynecologist, who tries to balance her personal and professional life. In March, 2017 it was revived for its sixth and final season. In India, the Mindy project airs on Comedy Central.
Heroes
Nothing can keep a good hero down especially cancellation. When the series debuted in the fall of 2006, it actually had pretty strong ratings, but with each passing season, it lost momentum and was finally laid to rest in February of 2010. With the continued success of superhero trend, makers reevaluated Heroes and decided to create a 13-episode miniseries called Heroes: Reborn, which will air next year. In India, Heroes airs on COLORS INFINITY.
Whose Line Is It Anyway?
Whose Line Is It Anyway? made its way to television in August 1998 with Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, and Wayne Brady in tow. The sketch show wrapped up in 2007. A revival of the show, hosted by Aisha Tyler, began airing in 2013. Comedy Central airs the popular series in India.
