A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Whistling Woods International promoted by veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai and Norwegian Film Institute (NFI)
for fostering and facilitating interaction between two institutes.
The MoU was signed by Mr Ghai and NFI director Jan Erik Holst in the presence of Royal Highness Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway.
Filmmakers Ravi Chopra, Boney Kapoor and Rahul Rawail, Vashu Bhagnani were also present on the occasion, a WWI release said here yesterday.
Salient features of MoU include student exchanges, faculty exchanges, sharing library resources, curiculum affiliation and student film exchange.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Holst said the NFI was eager to affiliate with WWI, which is fast being recognised internationally as the place for film and media education in
Asia.
Mr Ghai said it was a true testament to the strength of Indian media that the NFI tying up with WWI, which would lead to coproduction and exchange of training programmes.
