The award season is in full swing in the B-Town with Zee Cine Awards announced last month and Filmfare around the corner. These awards look back at the astonishing movies and outstanding performances in the past year. In a survey, conducted by global serious dating app, SweetRing, Indian singles voted for their most desired celebrities from the year 2017. Turns out that Deepika Padukone simply outperformed the younger actresses with over 55% votes to grab the 'Most Desirable Girlfriend'. For 'Most Desirable Boyfriend' however, it was a neck and neck competition between Ranbir Kapoor (37.5%) and Varun Dhawan (40%), with the latter winning by a margin of 2.5% only.




The results get even more interesting as the users gave reasons for their picks too. Dazzling Deepika, who is known for her simplistic yet classy image in the industry, was selected for her independent personality and maturity, it seems that Indian bachelors look for self-made women who can handle the emotional ups and downs of daily life. Whereas, with his free-spirited personality and family oriented image, 'Varun Dhawan' became the most desirable man of the year. This goes on to show that bachelorettes consider charm and confidence to be important factors while looking for their dating partner.




When asked to select the 'Most Desirable Husband' and 'Most Desirable Wife' from the married B-town celebs, 'Shahid Kapoor' won the title of 'Most Desirable Husband' with 35% votes followed by 'Akshay Kumar' (31%). Shahid was picked for his responsible and caring nature, especially when his wife, Mira, was pregnant. This reflects that when it comes to choosing a life partner, Indian women value responsibility and family-values the most. On the other hand, 'Kareena Kapoor' stole the show to get the 'Most Desirable Wife' title with 52% votes for her maturity and confident outlook.




Survey results reflect that Indian men usually look for similar traits while choosing their girlfriend or wife, with a maturity to handle relationships and emotions being the most important quality. However, women seem to seek different qualities in their boyfriend and husband. It surely would help all the singles out there looking for their Ideal match.
