Once an old beggar woman came to her begging for alms on the train. The boogie was almost empty as is was a holiday and during non peak hour. Kate gave the beggar woman Rs 50. The woman was so happy that there were tears of joy in her eyes. Looking at Kate with her moist, tear-filled eyes she asked Kate if she was a film or TV star. As Kate had just started off in her career, she replied in the negative. To this reply, the old, haggard beggar woman suddenly blurted out saying, "tum jaldi hi film karogi". And within a month she was signed on for a show on &Tv called Paramavatar Shri Krishna. Kate who is a firm believer in God likes to believe Shri Krishna visited her in the garb of an old, haggard beggar.
Her journey though was not all hunky dory. Traveling to Mumbai from Ulhasnagar for auditions was the toughest of the lot, she reveals.
In a recent telecasted episode of Meri Durga, mastermind Aarti was hiding Dr Sharma (who defamed Durga) in her house.
She made sure this would not be revealed to SP and Durga but SP comes to know about it and he shouts at Aarti.
Durga slapped Aarti for outraging her modesty and defaming her character. Aarti beat up Durga with a wooden danda badly and she starts bleeding.
Kate Shama who is also known as Komal Sharma is going great guns and is flooded with film offers.
It may be recalled that Kate replaced Urfi Javed as Aarti in Star Plus' Meri Durga, who moved out of the show because she was unwell.
She was replaced by TV actress Kate Sharma, who was last seen in &TV's Paramavatar Shri Krishna.
Kate's publicist and manager Flynn Remedios confirmed that though she has got several film offers, she is reading scripts and taking her time to decide. "Yes, I have signed the show and will soon begin shooting. After flaunting a negative streak in Krishna, I will again portray a negative character,' Kate had told Tellychakkar last month.
Meri Durga features Srishti Jain and Paras Kalnawat as main leads and it is produced by Paperback Films.
