Zoya Akhtar is one such filmmaker who keeps no stones unturned for her project. She does a proper research before starting the project, be it theoretical or practical.

The ZNMD director was seen spending time with the beatboxer who are working with her on her next Gully Boys.

Zoya is known to take a first-hand understanding of the subjects or elements pivotal to her film.

The film takes an interesting angle on the lives of street rappers, based in Mumbai.

In a recent Instagram update from Siddharth Chaturvedi, we see Zoya Akhtar practicing beatboxing.


Ranveer and Alia who are the star cast of the movie have already started the shoot of the movie and are parallelly rehearsing their rap songs for the movie.

Zoya ensures her actors get into the skin of the character.

Zoya has previously given us hits like Dil Dhadakne Do which was a family drama, ZNMD which was based on friendship.

The film is directed by Zoya Akhtar and is produced by Excel Entertainment.
