As per the recent reports, Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary is based on the Adarsh Housing Society scam that shocked the nation. While the Ministry of Defense reviewed the film to suggest modifications, a new clip from the film showcased the resemblance to the case.

After a detailed inspection, we deduce that Vikram Gokhale portrays the role of Chief of army staff who spearheaded Adarsh scam case.

A close look at the trailer showcases the similarities that Vikram's character posses to the now-retired chief. The uncanny resemblance to the real and reel characters thereby confirms the film to be based on the high profile scam in Mumbai.

The cast and crew of Aiyaary plan to visit the infamous Adarsh Housing Society ahead of the film's release. However, will the team be granted the permission to go to the building?

The trailer showcased various facets of the film, wherein Sidharth's character goes rogue and lobbying of arms is visible. Objecting to the various scenes in the film, Ministry of Defense demanded modifications in the film.

For the uninitiated, Adarsh Housing Society is a posh 31 storeyed posh building in Colaba, which was ideally conceptualised to provide housing to war widows. However, over a span of time politicians, bureaucrats as well as officials bend rules to acquire flats in the building.

Starring an ensemble cast of Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Rakul Preet Singh, Kumud Mishra, Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain and Vikram Gokhale in pivotal roles, Aiyaary promises power-packed performances.

Neeraj Pandey who is termed the pioneer of the espionage thriller genre is all set to present Aiyaary which is set against the army background.

'Aiyaary' revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views, yet right in their own ways.

Neeraj Pandey's espionage thriller will yet again present a mind-bending story which will showcase the ace filmmaker's hold over the genre after films like 'Special 26', 'Baby', 'Rustom', 'M.S.Dhoni', 'A Wednesday'.

Plan C and Jayantilal Gada (Pen) presents 'Aiyaary' A Neeraj Pandey Film. Produced by Shital Bhatia, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Motion Picture Capital is slated to release on 16th February 2018.
