Opinions in India are like trash lying around they're all around us just waiting for a chance to grab you and muck you up, even if it means disrespecting a woman's choice to dress the way she likes. Trolls who sneak around the dark sides of the web have time and time again slut-shamed and categorized women for their choice of attire.

Mithali Raj

The Indian women's cricket team captain was eaten alive when she posted this picture of herself in a spaghetti top. Some people got so offended that they demanded Mithali Raj take down the picture. Finally, it was these troll's who were at the receiving end of all the bashing as one user tweeted, "Her Choice... Delete your comment & change yur mentality..." (sic)

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra has formally become the limelight for controversies; she was chastised for disrespecting the Tricolour on India's Independence Day. After she posted a picture of her wearing a tricoloured dupatta with a white top and denim jeans, she was immediately slut-shamed. While one user suggested that legal action should be taken against her, another added: "she is disrespecting the Tricolour by wrapping it around her 'filthy body'".

Ankita Lokhande

Television star Ankita Lokhande found herself being trolled after she posted a picture of herself on Instagram. She was immediately judged for her breakup with Sushant Singh Rajput and was called 'vulgar' and 'cheap', she then responded positively and effectively and shut her trolls up for good

Sara Baig

Irfan Pathan's model wife, Safa Baig was deemed 'un-Islamic' after the Indian cricketer shared this photo of the two together. People were quick to judge her for exposing her hands and wearing nail paint. Soon enough, Pathan tweeted a message of love and said, "I repeat J if there is more love than hate I think we are doing alright. #spreadlove" (sic)

Aneri Vajani

Beyadh actress Aneri Vajani was immensely body shamed after she shared a photo of herself in a bikini. While many rebuked her for wearing an ill-fitted bikini, several others didn't shy away from picking on her body like vultures from calling her 'ugly' to 'malnutrition'.

Disha Patani

The actress from MS Dhoni, Disha Patani was not spared by trolls after she posted a picture of herself in a black dress at the Filmfare Awards. 'Nice Boobs' and 'Looking Bitch' well these were just some the compliments she received. Patani hit back by saying, "It's easier to judge a woman on the basis of how much they cover up their skin, but it's hard to accept your own cheap mentality..."

Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri - one of the most stunning actresses in Bollywood had to relent to a request to pin up a cleavage-revealing dress before attending a dance reality show (read: family show), Dance Plus 2. After Fakhri refused, the director intervened and made sure she acceded to their request. Fakhri obliged.

Not taking this too far but we need to improvise our thinking if we want to be called as civilized as every one in a civilized society has their right of freedom.
