Look who dropped in on the first day of Kalank shoot!

Karan Johar's much-awaited project Kalank, starring an ensemble cast, began filming on April 18 soon after the filmmaker announced its lead actors. Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit in principal roles.

The official handle of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions shared some pictures from the sets of Kalank. In one picture Filmmaker Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala can be seen posing with the clapboard and in another picture filmmaker David Dhawan can be seen posing with Karan and Sajid.



Director Abhishek Varman who helmed 2 States is all set to direct his next film. Putting all the speculations to rest, the epic drama set in the 1940s is titled 'Kalank'. The film which was incepted 15 years ago by Karan Johar and his dad Yash Johar has found its way and will be now released on 19th April 2019.
