Rani Mukherji was forced to apologise for the misbehaviour of her personal guards in Varanasi.

According to our source, "Rani was shooting near the banks of the Ganga when several onlookers and a few local media persons moved in closer to get a better glimpse of her. The fans started screaming her name and demanded to meet her for a while.

But before anyone could get anywhere near Rani, her personal security guard began hitting the people. The public tried to explain that they had simply come to meet Rani and would immediately leave the place as soon as they got to meet their favourite star. But he was in no mood to listen."

Finally when Pradeep Sarkar and the unit member realised that the situation was getting out of hand, they requested Rani to apologise on behalf of her security guards.

Rani will be soon seen in Ravi Chopra's forthcoming Babul. It is her first first film for the BR camp which has a legacy of making family oriented films.

Speaking to the press about the film and her role in it, Mukherjee waxed eloquent about BR Films, "It is a matter of pride for me to be associated with BR Films and work with Ravi Chopra in the film Babul. Ravi uncle is one of the finest directors that we have today."

"BR Films focus on traditions and family values. Babul carries a similar message," she continued.

Mukherjee, who has appeared with the Big B in some of her more commercially successful films was equally effusive in her praise for him, "I am very fortunate to be working with uncle. He has been my most favorite actor...I think from the time that I have watched movies. I had never dreamt that I would ever get a chance to appear with him on the screen."

Acknowledging that they have a great working chemistry, she continued, "We connect well and are fond of each other and that impacts our screen performance. Our roles in Babul mandated a good chemistry."

In Babul, Bachchan plays Balraj Kapoor who treats his daughter-in-law Milli (Mukherjee) like his own daughter. The film pivots around the extraordinary extent to which Balraj Kapoor goes to bring happiness back into the life of Milli after the demise of his son (Salman).

Mukherjee is paired opposite both Salman Khan and John Abraham in the film.

Recently, when talking with the media Abraham had singled out Mukherjee and stated he had learnt a lot from her during the making of the film.

When asked to comment, Mukherjee responded, "John has been a wonderful co-star to work with. He has been very respectful and he has given his heart and soul to the character in the film."
