Cast: Rajkummar Rao, Timothy Ryan Hickernell, Keval Arora

Director: Hansal Mehta

Rating: **1/2

Rajkummar Rao is perhaps one of the most valued actors that Indian film industry has these days and whenever he has collaborated with Hansal Mehta, they have produced a masterpiece. 'Omerta' is no exception. A brutal and repulsive dark terror drama will send shivers down your spine.

It's a biography of dreaded terrorist Omar Saeed Sheikh of Pakistani descent who currently holds British citizenship. Omar Saeed Sheikh had links with top militant organizations.

As the film is based on terrorism and other terrorist activities, some real-life events related to terrorism. So there are lots of blood churning moments sans much entertainment and you'll feel like watching a documentary.

The film exposes state-sponsored terrorism and how it manipulates young minds into believing a sordid interpretation of struggle or fight against the enemies of one's religion.

The first half of the film completely captivates your attention but the second half somehow lose the grip and you end up feeling confused that whether it is glorifying terrorism or what?

As I have already stated that Rajkummar Rao is the only person can stand out with any given character, he has done same with Omar's character. He has beautifully portrayed the character and totally lived the character.

Other supporting actors like Timothy Ryan Hickernell as Daniel Pearl has done a good job.

The cinematography is good, though it is simple yet effective.

Hansal Mehta's direction cannot be questioned it's just the plot of the film which should have treated well.

Overall, it's a good film which will give expose the nexus between terrorists and governments. At the same time, it will leave you with a question that does terrorism need to be glorified?
