'Raazi' is a story of a young girl Sehmat (Alia Bhatt), who was sent to Pakistan, to source out any information she could, as the war was becoming imminent between India and Pakistan in the early 70s. It is the journey of an ordinary Indian girl, in extraordinary circumstances. The film is based on the book 'Calling Sehmat' by Harinder Sikka.

The whole film revolves around Sehmat's life and different shades, where she is playing a doting daughter, a loving wife and most important an extraordinary - a spy.

The young Sehmat is an ordinary college girl but her life changes when she gets to know about her father Hidayat Khan (Rajit Kapur)'s last wish. He wants her to go to Pakistan and pass on the crucial information to India.

So Sehmat being a dutiful daughter surrender to her father's patriotism and gets trained by Indian Intelligence agent Khalid Mir (Jaideep Ahlawat) to become a spy.

In their mission Sehmat gets married to Pakistan based Iqbal Syed (Vicky Kaushal), who is the son of Brigadier Parvez Syed (Shishir Sharma).

So how Sehmat manages her life in Pakistan and how she plays different roles in her life is interesting to watch.

Director Meghna Gulzar is known for realistic films and once again she has proven her mettle and a beautiful script has surely played a vital role in making this excellent film.

Vicky Kaushal has very little to do on screen, still, he has impressed all with his performance.

Rest of the cast have also fared well for their roles.

The music of Shankar - Ehsaan - Loy, gives you an emotional and patriotic feel. 'Dilbaro' and 'Ae Watan' are already hot favourites.

The high production values and spectacular cinematography have enhanced the beauty of Kashmir where the film is based.

Overall, 'Raazi' is a great film supported by some great performances and strong script what lacks in it is the narration of the story, still, you can watch 'Raazi' to have patriotic fervour.
