Aamir Khan`s super duper Lagaan has made it to the top eight films for this year`s OscarAwards."Lagaan was officially screened for the jury on January 27 and the feedback we have is that it has made among the top eight films and has been highly appreciated," the actor-turned-producer told reporters at the launch of a comic book based on the film.
"All our efforts have paid as the film has gone down well," Khan said, and thanked director Ashutosh Gowarikar for teaming up with him during the campaign in America.He said, among others, the film is facing competition from French film `Amelie`.
