A bevy of Bollywood biggies, including Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, will enthral fans in Kuala
Lumpur during the second Provogue Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) being held there Dec 7-9.
Arshad Warsi and Amrita Arora will host the three-day extravaganza, being held under the aegis of
Malaysia tourism.
High-voltage entertainment and action-packed performances by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Abhishek
Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Amisha Patel are on the cards during the event.
The panel of jury members, who will review films and give their votes, includes actors Rati Agnihotri and
Jackie Shroff, filmmakers Shyam Benegal, Sajid Nadiadwala and Smita Thackeray, musician Sandeep
Chowta and noted film critic Subhash K Jha.
Most Bollywood personalities are looking forward to visiting the lush locales of Malaysia for the awards
function.
"GIFA is a very special award because we interact with very special people. The venue for the awards
makes all the difference, and what better place than Kuala Lumpur," said Rati Agnihotri.
"GIFA represents the soul of Asian cinema and Malaysia represents the soul of Asian beauty. I am looking
forward to be in Kuala Lumpur. I know only few will get the awards, but I am sure everyone is going have
fun," said Sandeep Chowta.
There will also be a celebrity football match, fashion show, charity dinner and auction during the event.
"It feels great! I've always been very fond of Sunil Shetty and when he asked me, I readily agreed," Subhash
K. Jha told.
"Kuala Lumpur sounds fabulous. It is becoming quite a hub for Bollywood events. More sign of our growth,
reach and popularity," he added.
