With a repertoire of films like the award winning "Phir Milenge" as well as Bollywood commercial hits, one
would have thought that actress Shilpa Shetty would have no reason to be insecure, but that is not the
case, as she revealed today.
"In my new film 'Metro' I am working with such a talented cast of actors, including Shiney Ahuja, Kay Kay
Menon and Irfan Khan, that for the first time in in my career I was insecure. But it was also challenging
because then you up your own capability," Shetty told reporters here at a sneak preview of "Metro" at the
ongoing International Film Festival of India.
The film, also starring Irfan Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kangana Ranaut and Konkona Sen Sharma, is directed
by Anurag Basu.
"My film is about life in a metro where people are so busy chasing the big dreams in life that they do not
have the time to stop and enjoy the small pleasures that life throws at them. The characters in the film,
however, stop to do that," said director Anurag Basu, whose latest film is the hit "Gangster".
When asked for the reason for arranging a sneak peak into the movie at IFFI, producer Ronnie Screwala of
UTV said, "This is a lovely platform on which you can showcase different aspects of your film. This festival
is gaining prominence every year and the Goa and Central governments should take some credit for that."
Elaborating on the film, expected to hit theatres in February next year, Basu said, "This film is
about three stories, but all the characters are connected to each other. There is no intellectual story line
where one has to figure out the connection between three totally different stories."
