Diljit Dosanjh and Taapsee Pannu starrer Soorma is having a rock-steady run in the third weekend at the box office.

The Shaad Ali directorial which is inspired by hockey legend Sandeep Singh's story has garnered 1.85 Cr in its third weekend taking the grand total to Rs 30.11 crore.

Soorma is an inspiring true story of the human spirit, about a player, who made headlines for his miraculous comeback after an unfortunate accident.

Sandeep Singh's inspiring story has had the makers keen to bring his life on the silver screen. The inspirational story of Sandeep Singh has struck chords with educational institutions also as they are screening the film for their students.

The producers too are now making an attempt to showcase the film to more and more kids to share the journey of the hockey legend. Earlier, a police officer took a few underprivileged kids to watch the film as he felt the story needs to be showcased.

Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh, and Deepak Singh, Soorma is written & directed by Shaad Ali has released on 13th July 2018 and is running with a positive word of mouth at the box office.
