Speaking about the film, the ace filmmaker said," Paltan is truly special for me, as it completes my war trilogy, which I had promised to do during Border. When I heard what happened during 1967, it made me sit up and question why the story wasn't ever told. It's high time that this group of Indian soldiers are given their due; it is time India celebrated their victory".

He further added,"Paltan is my ode to India, as I complete my war trilogy after Border and LoC Kargil. This film showcases the brotherhood that our soldiers have among themselves and shows how our Indian soldiers more than often go beyond their call of duty when it comes to serving our motherland"

Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios, says, `We are happy to join hands with JP Dutta on Paltan, as he completes his war trilogy, after Border(1997) and LOC Kargil(2003). It's an honour for our studio to portray the story of Indian soldiers who bravely fought during the 1967 battle.`

The battle of Nathu La was a historic victory for the Indian army, because of which Sikkim is a part of our country.

Considering the equations India and China share in todays, Paltan will induce a strong sense of patriotism amongst the audience.

With power-packed performances, the film promises to tell the riveting, untold story of the bravest of Indian soldiers who fought with their brothers next to them till the end.

Presented by Zee Studios and produced by J P Dutta Films, 'Paltan' is directed by J. P. Dutta and is slated to release on 7th September.
