Sports legends across fields took to social media to share Excel Entertainment's special tribute 'Feeling of Gold' marking 70 years of winning free India's first Gold.

As India celebrates 70 years of India's first Gold, Excel Entertainment brought together the sports legends across fields to share their experience of winning Gold ahead of the release of the Akshay Kumar starrer Gold.

Sports legends like Kapil Dev, P.R. Sreejesh, Sunil Chhetri, Sania Mirza, Abhinav Bindra, Vijender Singh, Deepak Mallik, P.V. Sindhu, Balbir Singh and Sachin Tendulkar hailing from across games like cricket, hockey, football, shooting, boxing, tennis, badminton opened up about their winning moments.

Sachin Tendulkar shared the video saying, "I always get goosebumps whenever our national anthem is played. Replying to the video Abhinav Bindra said, "All the best for your film !"

India won its first Gold medal as an independent nation at the Olympics on the 12th of August 1948. Celebrating this historic occasion, the makers are all set to release the film on the 15th of August this year.

Also celebrating the victory, iconic landmarks across the nation would be turning Gold today. Twitter India too has been extending its support to the film by introducing Gold emoji.

Cab service Ola too is celebrating the iconic victory by turning Gold as India celebrates 70 years of the victory.

Gold revolves around a man who dreams to win free India's first Gold in Hockey and his struggles to form a team to make his dreams true.

The trailer evoked the inner patriotism of the audience with the heart-tugging trailer. Recently, the makers shared another trailer for the IMAX format showcasing the importance of unity within the team.

The film has been shot across the UK and India, capturing the fascinating aspects of the pre-independent era.

Starring Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Gold promises power packed performances by an ensemble cast.

Gold is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, helmed by Reema Kagti and is all set to release on the 15th August 2018.
