The movie has been screened at various international film galas, including the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Along with being the opening film at the festival, it was also honoured with the Best Indie Film award.
'Love Sonia' is a hard-hitting story of a 17-year-old girl who risks her life to rescue her sister from the sex trade. The movie is shot in India, Hong Kong and Los Angeles.
