Though in this era we don't get to see many melodramatic love-triangles still if it has been treated well then any ordinary-looking story can also excel. Manmarziyaan is one of such films.

Set in Amritsar (Punjab), the film revolves around Rumi (Taapsee), DJ Sandz (Vicky Kaushal) and Robbie (Abhishek Bachchan). Rumi is a modern-day bold girl who lives her life on her own terms. She falls in love with Sandz, a self-absorbed guy. Sandz loves music and Rumi.

Rumi wants to get married with Sandz but realizes that he is commitment phobic and doesn't have enough courage to get married and then Robbie enters who is a London returned banker and is in search of a bride. Eventually, Rumi and Robbie get married.

What follows next is the series of event is quite interesting.

Despite the fact the film has a predictable story, still, it keeps you hooked.

All the actors have delivered top-notch performances.

Taapsee as Rumi will win your hearts with her natural and honest acting.

Vicky Kaushal as DJ Sandz is quirky and loveable. His character is the most vibrant character of the film.

Abhishek Bachchan is one of the strongest performers and he steals the show.

Director Anurag Kashyap, the captain of the ship, is a master storyteller. He knows what is in demand. He knows his audience and caters to according to their taste.

The music has been a plus point of the film. All the songs are popular and have quintessentially Punjabi flavour.

Overall, Manmarziyaan is a love story which will keep you hooked with its strong performances and brilliant writing and direction.
